UW|360 April 2014 - UW Scholarship Winner
University of Washington Nursing Student Kathleen Rose Fischer-Price was awarded first place and a $3,500 scholarship as part of the US Medical Supplies’ Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship. Fischer-Price wrote about the inspiration she gets from the memory of her father and her passion for community health and volunteering overseas. This is the fourth year of the Scholarship Program. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a medical related field and write an essay in order to qualify. US Medical Supplies, which is the nation’s leading online retailer of disability and mobility products, started the scholarship program as a way to give back to the community that helped the company become a success and to support and encourage individuals brave and caring enough to start careers in the medical field.
