Science of the Ocean, Poetry of the Sea

UW Professor of Oceanography, John R. Delaney, explores the complexities of the ocean, earth’s life support system, in “The Global Ocean & Human Culture: Past, Present & Future” lecture series. In this first lecture, Professor Delaney discusses the science of the ocean and poetry of the sea: exploring the complexities of earth’s life support system. Using a combination of art and science, he explores the history of human interactions with the complex, mysterious and vital global ocean.
