Brenda Spoonemore is an entrepreneur and technology executive with more than 15 years of experience identifying and developing disruptive technologies in the media, gaming and ecommerce sectors. She is currently the co-founder and CEO of Dwellable, a vacation rental search site and mobile app named by CNN as one of the top 10 best travel apps for the iPad and as a Google Staff Pick on the Google Play Store. Brenda also chairs the board of Atomic Moguls, a company she founded in 2006. Prior to that, Spoonemore was SVP of Interactive Services for the NBA, with responsibility for the league’s interactive P and L, including global digital operations, licensing and strategy, as well as the NBA All-Star Technology Summit.

Rob Salkowitz is an author, speaker and consultant focused on the global Millennial generation as they make their impact on the world. Rob is a founding partner of MediaPlant, LLC, a Seattle-based digital communications firm, where he serves as Director of Strategy and Content Development. Rob serves on the board of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS), a New York City-based non-profit dedicated to providing technology training to older adults looking to participate in their communities or re-enter the workforce.

Christine Deaver is an actor, singer, writer, director and voiceover artist. Christine has worked extensively in theatre, film and television in Los Angeles and abroad. Christine is a recipient of numerous Garland, Ovation and L.A. Weekly awards for her work in the theatre and is a member of the Zoo District Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She has been performing with Teatro Zinzanni in Seattle and San Francisco for the past eight years and has created such characters as Penelope Wilde, Film Noir Man, Juliet, Voluptuous Panic, and Vivian Beaumount. She was last seen in Seattle in the production of “Caliente,” which she co-wrote with Robert Lopez. She is thrilled to put her spin on Gracie Hansen, the queen of the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle in Teatro ZinZanni Seattle’s upcoming spectacle, “Return to Paradise,” which Christine also co-wrote.

Josh Henderson is the founding chef and partner of the award winning Skillet Group, a highly profitable and successful enterprise consisting of three restaurants, a catering company, two food trucks and multiple nationally distributed food products. He published his first cookbook in July 2012, titled The Skillet Cookbook: A Streetfood Manifesto. Over the last five years, Josh led the Seattle street food movement while building the Skillet brand, driving creative initiatives and developing new opportunities.

Zoran Popovic is a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, and Director for Center of Game Science. Zoran’s research interests lie in computer graphics and interactive games research, focusing on scientific discovery through game play, learning games, high-fidelity human modeling and animation. His laboratory produced Foldit, a biochemistry game that enabled non-expert players to publish three discoveries in journal Nature in just two years. His laboratory also created award-winning learning games. Zoran’s current research focus is on addressing key bottlenecks in K12 STEM education through learning games optimized for each learner.

Ruby Smith Love has a nationally distinguished background in non-profit management and resource development with over twenty five years experience. She has been responsible for facilitating and securing over $500 million of philanthropic and investment funds in her career. She is currently acting as Chief Development Officer at Washington STEM. Formerly, she served as Chief Development Officer of College Success Foundation, Director of the Gates Endowment and Director of Major and Planned Gifts for United Way of King County. She has worked closely with many foundations, companies and individuals to assist them in meeting their philanthropic and social investments goals with her firm Love Resource Development Group.

Jean Floten was selected as the first Chancellor of WGU Washington in May 2011. Prior to her appointment to this position, she served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bellevue College (formerly Bellevue Community College) for twenty-two years. She is widely noted for developing the college into an innovative, nationally-acclaimed institution. Mrs. Floten previously served as Executive Vice President at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Washington, and as Dean of Student Services and Director of Student Programs at Edmonds. Mrs. Floten holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Portland State University. She has taught speech, communication skills, and forensics at Mt. Hood Community College and Portland State University.

Fred Northup, Jr. is one of the Pacific Northwest’s busiest entertainers: as a host and emcee, an actor and comedy improviser, an auctioneer, and a musician. On camera, highlights include hosting The Xbox Accessories Show for Xbox 360 and appearing as Captain Fred McGilicutty (the hilarious national spokesperson for Copper Mountain Ski Resort) in radio, television, print, and the web. Off camera, he was heard for four years as one of Andy Savage’s morning show sidekicks on 1077 The End. On stage, Fred has been a company member of Seattle’s famed TheatreSports comedy improv group for ten years. He travels the country emceeing and performing comedy improv and sketch at corporate functions, and he has emceed and created original comedy productions for major corporate events for Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, Expedia, and countless others. As an accomplished singer and musician, currently performs music for children with the band Caspar Babypants.

Pediatrician Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson, MBE, FAAP, author of Seattle Children’s Hospital Seattle Mama Doc Blog, is working to revolutionize health communications by using social media to bridge the gap between parents and doctors. As one of the first pediatricians to blog for a leading children’s hospital, she leverages social media platforms to provide relevant, practical and timely guidance to parents focused on raising healthy children. Fostering candid conversations between doctors, patients and parents in an online setting is a new approach to medicine but one that may have a positive effect on the traditional patient-doctor relationship.
